Chris Escalera Re-Signs with Sidekicks Until 2026

Allen, Texas (October 3, 2023) – The Dallas Sidekicks have announced the re-signing of Chris Escalera until 2026. Last season marked Escalera’s second season with the Sidekicks. Per team and league guidelines, additional terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Escalera signed with the Sidekicks late in the season on March 2, 2023, and made his professional indoor soccer debut on March 11 on the road. He then went on to play the next three games at home. Overall, Escalera played in four games and had 3 shots on goals and blocked 2 opponent shots.

Despite only playing in four games and arriving later in the season, Escalera quickly became a fan favorite on and off the field. By volunteering for events throughout the community as well as coaching Sidekicks Summer Camps, Escalera knows it’s important to give back to the Dallas community that he calls home.

Outside of the Sidekicks, Escalera is a fitness and skill trainer at Toca Soccer Center in Carrollton. To prepare for the upcoming season, Escalera has been working out 2-3 times a day and hopes to better help the team.

“Playing for the Sidekicks is important to me because I’m a Dallas kid. It’s cool to represent the city I grew up in and I’ve been a fan of the organization for a long time,” commented Escalera.
