Dallas Sidekicks Announce Re-Signing of Veteran Nestor Hernandez

Nestor Hernandez joins the Sidekicks for the 2018-2019 season 

(ALLEN, TEXAS: October 25, 2018) The Dallas Sidekicks have officially re-signed midfielder Nestor Hernandez for the 2018-2019 MASL season. Per team and league policies, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Hernandez has played three seasons with the Sidekicks and played last season with the St. Louis Ambush. He has also played for the Chicago Mustangs and the Las Vegas Legends. Hernandez went to high school in Illinois and played club soccer for HUSA.

During his college career at Lewis University, he was a three-time All-American and totaled 37 goals and 18 assists to finish his college career with 92 points, sixth most in school-history. Despite his ties and upbringing in Illinois, he considers Dallas his second home and wants to bring a championship to Dallas.

"I'm excited for the opportunity to play for a team with such a great history and reputation," Hernandez said. "The Sidekicks are already a great team, and my goal is to work hard with my new teammates to push to the top and win championships."

He has appeared in over 112 career games and has a career total of 99 goals and 42 assists.
