Cody Ellis joins the Sidekicks for the 2018-2019 season

(ALLEN, TEXAS: October 18, 2018) The Dallas Sidekicks have officially re-signed defender Cody Ellis for the 2018-2019 MASL season. Ellis has played for the Sidekicks for six seasons including four seasons in the Premier Arena Soccer League and two seasons in the Major Arena Soccer League. Per team and league policies, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Ellis was born and raised in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and loves to be playing for a team located in the area. He grew up watching the Sidekicks and is excited to be one of the players who has played for the team the longest.

In the summer of 2018, Ellis had the opportunity to play in the International Arena Soccer Tournament for the United States National Arena Soccer Team. The countries represented were the United States, Somalia, Mexico, and Colombia. The U.S. took home the championship in this tournament.

Ellis brings a lot of experience to the field and is a natural leader of his team. The Sidekicks have a strong roster this season and are proud to have Ellis returning for the 2018-2019 season.
