Dallas Sidekicks sign MASL veteran Jowayne Laidley

Allen, TX (December 6, 2022) - The Dallas Sidekicks have announced the signing of MASL veteran forward Jowayne Laidley. This will be Laidley’s first season with the Dallas Sidekicks and his fifth season with the MASL. 


Laidley started his MASL career at the Florida Tropics during the 2016-17 season and played there for two more seasons. He then went on to play for the St. Louis Ambush for one season. Overall, Laidley has played in 45 MASL games and scored 10 goals, and had 9 assists. 


Laidley then went on to play outdoor soccer for Chattanooga FC. Now, he is with the Sidekicks and is hoping to make an impact to help strive for the MASL playoffs for the second season in a row. 


To prepare for the season, Laidley has been swimming, running up hills to build endurance, and going to the gym.  

When asked about what it means to sign with the Sidekicks, Laidley said, “It’s an absolute pleasure to be a part of a club that has such a rich history. I’m excited to get started.”
