Dallas Sidekicks Sign Midfielder Ethan Soto

Allen, Texas (January 10, 2023)- The Dallas Sidekicks have announced the signing of midfielder, Ethan Soto. This is Soto’s first season with the Sidekicks and in the MASL. Per team and league guidelines, the terms of the agreement were not disclosed.  

Soto was born on March 30, 1999, and grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas. Soto graduated high school in 2018 at South Grand Prairie and was on the soccer team there.  

In 2014, Soto went to tryouts with Club Santos Laguna Reserve Team in Torreon, Mexico, and spent a week at a soccer camp with Tigres UANL. Soto guest played in the Dallas Cup for three years and for two of those he played up an age.  

Last year, Soto played in the UPSL for the D’Feeters Kicks SC (DKSC) where he made 14 appearances in the 2022 season.  

Soto made his rookie debut with the Sidekicks on January 7th vs the San Diego Sockers and has played in two games so far this season. In the two games, Soto has two blocked opponent shots.  

Outside of Sidekicks, Soto is a personal trainer for a sports performance training business.
