Dallas Sidekicks To Host Women in Sports Night

Allen, Texas (Dec. 1, 2016) – The Dallas Sidekicks are hosting a “Women in Sports” night at Allen Event Center on Saturday, Dec 10. The Dallas Sidekicks are excited to host the Texas Spurs FC as we celebrate women in sports. This night will feature a double header with the WPSL Texas Spurs playing a friendly against former collegiate players and area coaches. The Texas Spurs FC will be playing before the Dallas Sidekicks on December 10th.

This game is to help raise awareness of women's soccer in the North Texas area. The Texas Spurs WPSL team finished in 2nd place this past season with a 10-2-2 record. North Texas is a huge soccer community. The Texas Spurs are looking to build the women's game in the area in order to give opportunities to female players as they move forward in their playing career.

December 10^th is also Star Wars night at the Allen Event Center. To celebrate the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the Dallas Sidekicks are celebrating their Star Wars Night at the Allen Event Center on Saturday, December 10. This is the perfect opportunity for Star Wars enthusiasts to get together and share their passion for this cultural phenomenon.

Throughout the 7:05 p.m. matchup against the St. Louis Ambush, the Allen Event Center will be transformed with the sights and sounds from the movie including special scoreboard graphics and music. Prior to the game, fans in attendance will have the opportunity to take their photo with costumed characters roaming around the stadium.
