Allen, TX (September 23, 2022)-  The Dallas Sidekicks have announced that Brazilian defender, Felipe Silva, has re-signed with the club through 2026.

Silva has been with the Sidekicks for one season but has played in the MASL for 4 seasons making the 2022-2023 MASL season his fifth. Per team and league guidelines, no additional contract information will be released.

Last season, Silva played in 21 games blocking 16 opponent shots on goal. Not only is he a defensive threat on the field, but he also contributed to the offense. Throughout the season, Silva scored 6 goals which includes a power play goal and a game-winning goal. Silva also had 4 assists.

“We did a great job last season putting together experienced players with new players. With everyone having more experience this season, I hope we can get further in the playoffs to get the Sidekicks their fifth championship,” Silva comments.

When asked about how he is preparing for the upcoming season, Silva said, “I’m training every day and I believe this will be my best season physically and tactically. I hope to have more goals and assists to help the team to the playoffs.”
