Allen, Texas (January 11, 2024) - The Dallas Sidekicks have announced the signing of defender, Leon Bennett. The 2023-2024 MASL season will mark Bennett’s first professional season in indoor soccer. Per team and league guidelines, additional terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Bennett grew up in Corinth, Texas, and played varsity soccer for Lake Dallas High School. Not only did he play high school soccer, but he also played club soccer for Celtics FC. Most recently, Bennett has played in the UPSL with NTX Legends.

When asked about why playing for the Sidekicks is important to you, Bennett said, “I want to prove to myself and my local community that anything is possible with enough determination and hard work.”

“My personal goal this season is that I want to make a difference especially defensively. I want the Sidekicks to be better than the prior season and make the playoffs again”, commented Bennett.

Outside of soccer, Bennett graduated from the University of North Texas where he majored in Business Computer Information Systems and is now a Data Analyst.
