Allen, TX (December 7, 2022)- The Dallas Sidekicks have announced the signing of Egyptian forward Ahmed Zaky for the 2022-2023 season. Per team and league policies, the terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Zaky started his indoor career in the 2015-16 MASL season with the RGV Barracudas FC. However, he did not appear in any of the matches. In the 2017-18 MASL season, Zaky went to play for Utica City FC. He played in four matches with the club.

Zaky also has been playing outdoor soccer in the National Premier Soccer League with teams such as the New Orleans Jesters and the East Bay FC Stompers. Between both NPSL teams, Zaky had one goal in four games.

Zaky was born on May 11, 1991, in Cairo, Egypt. He graduated high school at Zahraa High School in Egypt. He then went to college at the University of Texas at Brownsville.

For the last three years, Zaky has been playing for Michigan Futsal Factory Academy. Coach Drew Ducker at the academy introduced Zaky to Sidekicks Head Coach, Ricardinho. Now, Zaky is a player for the Dallas Sidekicks, and Coach Ricardinho hopes he makes a strong impact on the field this season.

When asked about what it meant for him to sign with the Sidekicks, Zaky said, “It’s an honor to sign with a team that has such a great history in the indoor game.”
