(ALLEN, TEXAS: February 10, 2021) – The Dallas Sidekicks have announced that former FC Dallas winger Michael Barrios will be the honorary First Kick for their "We ♡ Allen Night" match against the Florida Tropics on Friday, February 12th at 7:30pm at the Allen Event Center.

Barrios played for FC Dallas from 2015-2020 scoring 31 goals in 179 appearances and terrorizing opponents with his blazing speed and ability to run at opponents. The Columbian ranks second all-time for FC Dallas with 75 combined career goals and assists. Last month, FC Dallas traded the 29-year-old winger to the Colorado Rapids.

The Rapids will mark just the third professional team for Barrios who spent the beginning of his career with Uniautónoma in the Columbian Categoría Primera A. From 2011-2015 Barrios appeared in 140 matches for the club notching 35 goals. Small in stature at 5'2", his play on the field has always been big with his speed and shiftiness.

FC Dallas has a history of supporting the Dallas Sidekicks with players Brandon Servania and Edwin Cerrillo taking the first kick on January 9th of last year and head coach Luchi Gonzalez kicking things off a few weeks ago on January 31st for Youth Soccer Night.
