Former Sidekicks Midfielder Raul De La Gala Returns for 2022-23 Season

Allen, Texas (January 13, 2023)- The Dallas Sidekick have announced the signing of former Sidekicks midfielder, Raul De La Gala. The 2022-23 MASL season will mark De La Gala’s third season with the Sidekicks and in the MASL. Per team and league guidelines, the terms of the agreement were not disclosed.  

De La Gala made his debut with the Sidekicks on December 28, 2019, against the Monterrey Flash. During the game, De La Gala had one assist and blocked one opponent shot.  

In total, De La Gala has played in 20 games and has scored two goals and one assist. Also, he had 12 shots on goal and blocked 11 opponent shots.  

De La Gala was born in Mexico City but considers Cleburne, Texas his hometown which is where he attended high school. He attended Richland College and West Texas A&M.  

De La Gala will make his return to the field with the Sidekicks tonight against the Chihuahua Savage in Chihuahua. The game will be streamed live on Twitch (twitch.tv/masl_soccer2).
