GAME NOTES: Game Notes 2.14.20 Utica City FC

(ALLEN, TEXAS: February 14, 2020) – The Dallas Sidekicks play back-to-back home games for Valentine’s Day. The Sidekicks first matchup of the home stint is on February 14th against Utica City FC at 7.30PM at the Allen Event Center. The second match is against old rivals the Tacoma Stars on February 15th at 7PM.

Utica jumped on the scene last season as a new expansion club and this will be the first matchup between the two teams. New York sits second in the Eastern Conference and have a three-game win streak while the Sidekicks sit last in the Western Conference and are on a five-game losing streak. The Sidekicks, however, have beaten great teams at home this season and each win they received at home has come from teams who have played the Mesquite Outlaws the night before which Utica will do on February 13th. Last season the Sidekicks gave a Valentine’s Day treat to fans when they bested the Monterrey Flash for the first time in fourteen years.

The Sidekicks second game of the stint is against the Stars who currently sit fourth in the Western Conference and have a break before taking on Dallas on the 15th. The Sidekicks have faced the Stars once this season and won 6-4. Dallas is looking to get two wins to bolster their chances at making the playoffs this season.
