Mexican Midfielder Signs With Dallas Sidekicks

Raul De La Gala signs with the Sidekicks 
for the 2019-2020 season

(ALLEN, TEXAS: August 26, 2019) The Dallas Sidekicks have signed midfielderRaul De La Gala for the 2019-2020 Major Arena Soccer League season. This will be La Gala’s debut season with the Sidekicks. Per team and league policies, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

De La Gala was born in Mexico City, Mexico but considers his hometown to be Cleburne, where he went to high school. He attended Richland College and West Texas A&M. When he isn’t playing soccer, he loves to spend time with his family and to travel. He is a father of two daughters with a son on the way. De La Gala has a full house with eight pets, one being a tortoise.

He grew up watching the Sidekicks at Reunion Arena and being able to play for the team he loves is an honor. He has had the opportunity to practice with the Sidekicks for multiple seasons and to get to know head coach Símon Bozas and his current teammates.

“I have been following the Sidekicks since I was a kid and to sign with the Sidekicks is a dream that turned to reality,” De La Gala said.

The Dallas Sidekicks is an American professional indoor soccer team of the Major Arena Soccer League. The organization was established in 1984, is headquartered in Allen, Texas, and plays all home games at the Allen Event Center. Follow the Sidekicks at and on their social media.
