Midfielder Eric Gomez Silva Signs With Sidekicks

Allen, Texas (December 2, 2023)- The Dallas Sidekicks have announced the signing of rookie midfielder, Eric Gomez Silva. This will mark Gomez Silva’s first season with the Sidekicks and in the MASL. Per team and league guidelines, additional terms of the agreement were not disclosed. 

 Gomez Silva grew up in San Sebastian, Spain where he was a part of Autiguoko K.E and Real Sociedad Academy. Gomez Silva finished his high school education in Utah and went to college at New Mexico State University. At New Mexico State, Gomez Silva participated in the UDA program where he trained under professional coaches while he went to university. 

 “Since this is my first professional contract, I’m very grateful for this opportunity to play at this awarding club. My personal goals this season are to play in every game. I hope as a team we can make it to playoffs and win everything,” commented Gomez Silva. 

 Gomez Silva plans on making his professional debut tomorrow afternoon against the Monterrey Flash as the Sidekicks hope to kick off the season strong. The game will be streamed live on Twitch at 3:35 PM CST on www.twich.tv/masl_soccer
