Ontario Fury Beat The Dallas Sidekicks In OT 11-10

Allen, Texas (Jan. 28, 2017) – The Dallas Sidekicks fall to 6-9 in Major Arena Soccer League play with a heartbreaking 11-10 lose in overtime Friday night to the Ontario Fury.

The Ontario Fury got out to an early 1-0 lead with a quick counter attack goal scored by Leonardo De Oliveira.  Minutes later Dallas’ answered with a goal of their own to tie the game up at 1-1 with goal scored by VcMor Eligwe.

Ontario’ came out firing in the second quarter with goals scored by Alex Caceres, Jose Gonzalez, Maicon De Abreu and Leonardo De Oliveira to take a 5-4 lead into halftime. Dallas responded with goals of their own scored by Tony Guillen and two goals from Cameron Brown. The Sidekicks entered the match with a record of 0-4 when trailing at halftime.

Cameron Brown has scored in 26 consecutive Major Arena Soccer League matches and will be hoping to extend his record against Turlock on Saturday night.

Cameron Brown achieved his feat for the Dallas Sidekicks across two seasons in 2015-16. Brown missed game 12 of last season at Brownsville, but he scored at least one goal in games 9, 10, 11, and 13-20 of last season as well as all 15 games of this year.

The Sidekicks came out hot in the third quarter and scored 3 goals to tie the game up going into the fourth quarter. Dallas’ goals were scored by Ricardinho and two goals scored by Nestor Hernandez.

The fourth quarter was a wild one as both teams went back and fourth scoring three goals each. Ontario goals were scored by "Chico" Francisco Cordeiro, Juan Carlos Gonzalez, Maicon De Abreu. Dallas’ goals were scored by TJ Nelson, VcMor Eligwe and Ricardinho.  The Sidekicks entered the match with a record of 0-2 in overtime this season.

Nick Perera found the back of the net for Ontario to win it in overtime. The Sidekicks are now 0-15 during the Simon Bozas era when trailing at halftime.  The Sidekicks next home game is Saturday, February 4.
