Prominent Players Return to Dallas Sidekicks 2018-2019 Roster

The team welcomes back five of its most respected athletes.

(DALLAS, TX: September 20, 2018) The Dallas Sidekicks announced today commitments from five highly skilled members for the 2018-2019 MASL season. The organization enthusiastically welcomes back remarkably skilled players Ricardinho Cavalcante, Cameron Brown, Arthur Ivo, Juan Gamboa, and Gustavo Piedra. Per team and league policies, terms of the agreements were not disclosed.

Cavalcante has participated in the sport of professional indoor soccer for more than 15 years and is excited to return to his home team, the Dallas Sidekicks, this year. When interviewed, he briefly touched on a new process head coach Simon Bozas has implemented and how it will create a positive impact on the team this season, saying “Coach is teaching the team to think on a more advanced level on the field, and specifically how to better control the game with intentional strategy versus being reactive to our opponents’ plays.”

Head coach Simon Bozas states,”Our coaching staff has intentionally built a team of players that consists of strong, experienced guys combined with younger players who bring good energy and new techniques.” He continues to praise his most respected team members, saying, “These prominent players are key in the development of our younger guys and teaching them how play on a more advanced level.”

According to the Dallas Sidekicks organization, this is the second round of MASL contracts to be completed. The Dallas Sidekicks organization plans to release staff and player interviews at a later date.
