Sidekicks GET TO WORK HELPING CLEAN UP
LOCAL FRISCO YMCA
(FRISCO, TEXAS: August 13, 2020)
The Dallas Sidekicks not only work hard on the field, they work hard off the field as evidenced by their recent time helping the Frisco YMCA clean up their outside fields.
The Dallas Sidekicks worked with Frisco YMCA to clean up of their brush line to make it safe for kids. The areas in question were hidden by a large amount of shrubbery. Players cut and loaded up tree branches, shrub excess and trash which cleared out hiding spaces for all sorts of critters and made it much easier for YMCA outside participants to locate their balls that managed to escape the designated fields.
Several Dallas Sidekicks players and front office staff members were on site to ensure that all the work got done. The Sidekicks have also been teaming up with the Frisco YMCA to put on Summer Soccer Camps.
"Our partnership with the Frisco YMCA this summer has been great," said Jesse Llamas, Dallas Sidekicks General Manager. "The summer camps have been a huge success and we were very happy to help give back in a little way by cleaning up the outside areas which now look beautiful. Our players and staff worked very hard working muscles they don't necessarily get to use on the soccer field. They didn't get to use the sore muscle excuse to get out of practice," Llamas joked.
The Dallas Sidekicks are all about being a great partner in the community and the team greatly values the Frisco YMCA's partnership.
