Sidekicks Announce the Re-Signing of Jamie Lovegrove for Upcoming Season

The Dallas Sidekicks have announced the return of veteran forward, Jamie Lovegrove for the upcoming season which will mark Lovegrove’s 7^th season with the Sidekicks. Per team and league guidelines, no additional contract information will be released.

Lovegrove started his indoor soccer career in 2014 with the Sidekicks and since then has played in over 100 professional games. Last season, Lovegrove played in 16 games and scored 10 goals and had 13 assists. He also blocked 9 opponent shots. With his strong and vocal leadership, Lovegrove had his most notable game of the 2022-2023 season on March 11, 2023, where he scored 2 goals and had 2 assists that night.

After making the playoffs in the 2021-2022 MASL season, Lovegrove hopes to return to the playoffs again this upcoming season and wants to contribute to the team by scoring as many goals and assists as he can.

“I’m ready to get back to the Jamie Lovegrove that the Sidekicks know. That means putting points on the table, working hard for my teammates, and being a leader on and off the field. Overall, I want a high performance that will help us win games,” commented Lovegrove.

Outside of the Dallas Sidekicks, Lovegrove takes care of his kids during the day and coaches for the FC Dallas Academy at night. To prepare for the season, Lovegrove said, “I’ve been running to be ready and chasing my two toddler daughters around the house.”

“I’m looking forward to playing for Coach Ed and getting back out there with the boys to try to put this organization back where it belongs. That means making playoffs and winning championships for the seasons to come,” said Lovegrove.
