Sidekicks Drop Points to Florida Tropics

Allen, Texas (February 4, 2023)- The Sidekicks faced the Florida Tropics for the first-time season at home for Youth Soccer Night.


The first quarter of the game was filled with goal-scoring action. Florida Tropics opened the game with a goal by Ricardo Carvalho at the 4:56 minute mark. The Sidekicks answered back quickly two minutes later with a goal by Cameron Brown. Four minutes later, Jamie Lovegrove scored. However, the Tropics ended the first quarter with two more goals which were scored by Breno Oliveira. Going into the second quarter, the score was 2-3.


The Tropics scored the first goal in the second quarter at the 2:41-minute mark which was scored by Ricardo De Queiroz Diegues. At the 6:08 minute mark, Bradlee Baladez scored for the Sidekicks. Three minutes later, Felipe De Sousa tied up the game at 4-4


The second half of the game was not for the Sidekicks because all four goals left in the game were scored by the Tropics. Two were scored in the third quarter which was scored by Drew Ruggles and Thiago Freitas. Vinicius Dantas scored the last two goals in the fourth quarter. The final score was 4-8.
