(ALLEN, TEXAS: March 11, 2021) – The Dallas Sidekicks hit the road for the final time during the 2020/21 regular season this weekend. On Friday, the team heads to The Family Arena to face the St. Louis Ambush before moving onto the Cable Dahmer Arena to face the Kansas City Comets on Sunday. The Sidekicks will then head home to face the San Diego Sockers at the Allen Event Center in their final regular season game on Saturday March 20th.

St. Louis defeated the Sidekicks in a thrilling 6-5 match back on January 9th so Dallas is seeking revenge. The Ambush are lead in scoring by forward Tony Walls with nine goals in 13 games and defender Vadim Cojocov who has eight goals and four assists in 11 appearances. St. Louis evened their record at 7-7 after an exciting 5-4 victory over the Tacoma Stars this past Sunday. This will only be the second matchup of the regular season although the Sidekicks did beat the Ambush in the Central Cup back in December so the winner of this one will take the series advantage this year.

Kansas City has taken all three matches against Dallas this season and this game will mark the third time the Sidekicks have had to face the Comets in Independence Missouri. Veteran Leo Gibson leads Kansas City in points with 17 on six goals and 11 assists. Adam James and Rian Marques both average a goal a game with 11 goals in 11 games each. The Comets are 6-5 on the season after an impressive 7-6 win over the league leading Ontario on Sunday knocking the Fury into second place. Defender Matt Lewis leads the MASL in both blocked shots and penalty minutes while forward Rian Marques has eight more fouls than the next closest player in the MASL. Expect a physical affair in this one as the teams had to be separated on a few occasions in their last matchup.

The Sidekicks are lead by forward Felipe De Sousa who is having an outstanding second season. His 13 goals only trails Florida's Ian Bennett who has 15, however, De Sousa has done it in fewer games and can overtake Bennett for the league lead with a big scoring weekend. He has scored in every match this season including three hat-tricks already in 2021. The defense is lead by goalie Juan Gamboa who has a 5.44 goals against average which tops both his opposing goalies this weekend in Paulo Nascimento of the Abush and Nicolau Neto of the Comets.

You will be able to catch both games on the MASL Facebook PPV page.
