Sidekicks Fall Short To San Diego Sockers

San Diego, California (March 4, 2023)- The Dallas Sidekicks faced the San Diego Sockers on Saturday night after losing in overtime to the Tacoma Stars the night before. The Sidekicks are 0-3 when facing the Sockers this season.

The first quarter of the game was dominated by the Sockers with all four goals in the quarter being scored by Sockers players. Two goals were scored by Kraig Chiles, one goal by Brian Farber, and one goal by Leonardo De Oliveria. At the end of the quarter, the score was 0-4.

One minute into the second quarter, Kraig Chiles scored again which allowed him to have an early game hat-trick. Six minutes later, Sockers player, Brandon Escoto scored. Sidekicks player, Albert Rodriguez ended the scoring streak by scoring a goal at the 9:03 minute mark. Shortly after, the Sockers responded by scoring two more goals which were scored by Charlie Gonzalez and Brandon Escoto. At the 13:00 minute mark, Sidekicks player, Flavio Guzman, scored. Going into halftime the score was 2-8.

The third quarter of the game was completely different from the first half. The Sidekicks kept together defensively only allowing one goal by the Sockers which was scored by Ismael Rojo. At the end of the third quarter, the score was 2-9.

43 seconds into the fourth quarter, Sidekicks player Bradlee Baladez scored with an assist by Ahmed Zaky. Flavio Guzman scored his second goal of the game making the score 4-9. Nine minutes into the quarter, Sockers player, Christian Gutierrez scored. The last goal of the game was scored by Albert Rodriguez, his second of the game. The final score was 5-10.
