Sidekicks Lose to Mexican Standout Club

(ALLEN, TEXAS: March 2, 2020) The Dallas Sidekicks lost 12-3 against Monterrey Flash on March 2nd, 2020 in Monterrey. Mexico. The Sidekicks’ next game is against Turlock Cal Express on Sunday, March 8th at 3:00 PM CT at the Allen Event Center in Allen, TX.

The game started with the Sidekicks holding the Flash off defensively, but then were unable to stop Erick Rosas from scoring the first goal of the night. Shortly after, the Flash’s Jorge Rios shot another one past Dallas’ goalkeeper Carlos Enriquez. With a little under four minutes left in the quarter, Monterrey’s Edgar González scored, and the quarter ended with the Flash in the lead 3-0.

Monterrey’s Brayan Aguilar started off strong and scored another point for his team. Dallas’ Freddy Moojen shot back and put the Sidekicks on the board. Then, the Flash’s Victor Quiroz was blue carded for boarding which put the Sidekicks on the power play. Dallas was unable to score on the power play, but Felipe De Sousa put one in the net right before the quarter ended with the Flash at even strength. Both teams went into the locker room with the Flash up 4-2.

The Sidekicks took several shots on goal to kick off the third quarter but were unable to score. Instead, the Flash’s Aguilar scored his second of the night and brought the score to 5-2. Monterrey’s Brandon González was blue carded for tripping and then Dallas’ Ricardinho Cavalcante was given a yellow card for dissent, but Dallas remained at even strength. At the end of the quarter, head coach Simon Bozas was given a red card for dissent and was ejected from the game.

Within the first minute of the fourth quarter, Monterrey’s Erick Rosas scored his second goal of the match, which gave them a four-point lead. The Sidekicks then put Ricardinho in as a sixth attacker and Gustavo Piedra was able to score Dallas’ third goal of the night. Then Erick Rosas and Brayan Aguilar both got hat tricks, which brought the score 8-3. The Sidekicks decided to get rid of their sixth attacker and put Enriquez back in the net but that didn’t stop the Flash from scoring. Sidekicks player Raul De La Gala was blue carded for tripping and Brayan Aguilar was able to score another point in the power play. In the last four minutes of the game, Jorge Rios and Edgar González both scored, which brought the score to 11-3. With less than a minute, Jorge Rios scored once again. The game ended with the Flash winning 12-3.
