DALLAS SIDEKICKS SIGNS MIKE JONES THROUGH 2023!!

(ALLEN, TEXAS: December 11, 2020) After a 12 month HIATUS, Mike Jones is back home. The Dallas Sidekicks have announced the signing of free agent defender Mike Jones to an agreement for the 2020-21 Major Arena Soccer League season. As per team and league policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

This will be Jones fifth season with the club after spending four years with the club before taking a hiatus last season from the Sidekicks.  Wearing his trademark headband, Jones adds a physical presence to the defense for the boys in green.  His passion and work ethic were missed last season and the team is excited to have him back as a talented two-way defender.

Jones played at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville for four years, being named to the All-Missouri Valley Conference Second Team in 2010 while playing 60 games during his college career, notching six goals and two assists. In his senior year, Jones and the Cougars were runners-up in the MVC Tournament. Selected by Sporting Kansas City as the 28th overall selection in the 2011 MLS Supplemental draft on Jan. 18, 2011.  Jones played for the New York Red Bulls in MLS in addition to FC Hjørring of the Danish 1st Division.
