Sidekicks Win 5-3 Against Tacoma Stars

Allen, Texas (March 26, 2023)- The Sidekicks faced the Tacoma Stars for the third time this season which both ended in losses.


The first goal of the game was scored by Tacoma player, Nick Perera at the six-minute mark. Three minutes later, Tacoma scored again with a goal by Tyler John. The game looked like it was going to be going in Tacoma’s hands. The second quarter of the game had no goals on either side and both sides had four shots on goal. Going into halftime, the score was 0-2.


Unlike the first quarter, the Sidekicks dominated the rest of the game and scored five unanswered goals. Cameron Brown scored first in the third quarter at the five-minute mark. Albert Rodriguez tied up the game at 2 five minutes later from the previous goal. Two minutes later, Flavio Guzman scored giving the Sidekicks the lead.


At the nine-minute mark, Gustavo Piedra scored. Two minutes later, Vcmor Eligwe scored the last Sidekicks goal of the night. A minute later, Tacoma scored one more goal from Adam West. However, the Sidekicks finished strong and had their first win of the season. The final score of the game was 5-3!
