Allen, Texas (December 9, 2023)- The Dallas Sidekicks win in overtime against the Texas Outlaws!


MASL Draft Pick, Colin O’Keefe scored his first professional goal and the first in the game. At the six minute mark, Blas Pérez scored making the score 2-0. Four minutes later, Outlaws player, Erik Macias scored. 14 seconds later, Jamie Lovegrove scored. Outlaws responded back with a goal by Jorge Deleon making the score 3-2.


Unlike the first quarter, there were no goals in the second with minimal shots too. The Sidekicks had 1 shot on goal and the Outlaws had 3 shots on goal. At halftime, the score was still 3-2.


31 seconds into the third quarter, Outlaws player, Sebastian Mendez scored. The Outlaws then gained the lead for the first time in the game with a goal by Julio Varela. They then added another one with a goal by Luiz Morales. Five seconds left in the quarter, Blas Pérez, scored on the powerplay. At the end of the third, the score was 4-5.


Sidekicks dominated the beginning of the fourth quarter scoring three back-to-back goals. The first goal was scored by VcMor Eligwe and two minutes later VcMor Eligwe scored again tying up the game. A minute later, Blas scored his third goal of the game. 16 seconds later, the Outlaws responded back with a goal by Vinicius Dantas. Outlaws player, Sebastian Mendez, tied up the game at 7.


The game then went to overtime golden goal after being tied at the end of the regulation. Five minutes into over, Albert Rodriguez, scored his first goal of the season and won the game.
