Allen, TX (Feb. 7, 2017) – The Dallas Sidekicks (7-9) embark on the most pivotal weekend of the 2017 Major Arena Soccer League season. On Saturday the Sidekicks face Kansas City Comets (12-4) then immediately travel to face Chicago Mustangs Sunday night (7-7).

The Sidekicks offense is averaging 7.4 goals per game and scoring 38% of their power play goals.  The team is also killing 63% of their penalties. Forward Cameron Brown leads the team in goals with 28. Brown also leads the team in points with 43.

Kansas City is averaging 6.8 goals per game and scoring 36% of their power play goals. Leo Gibson leads the team in goals, assist and points. He has scored 18 goals, assisted 19 goals and has 37 points.  Stephen Paterson will be in the net for the Comets.  Paterson is averaging 4.56 GAA which is third best in the MASL.

On Saturday the Sidekicks will face the Chicago Mustangs. The Mustangs are averaging 6.0 goals per game and scoring 33% of their power play goals. Taylor Bond is the teams leading goal scorer with 25 goals. He is also tied for 1st on the team with assists with 9.

With remaining the Sidekicks still have a fighting chance of finishing second in the Soutwest division and earning a spot in the playoffs as they are just 2 full game behind Baja.
